We’re proud to welcome visitors from around the world to Stannergill Distillery — our beautifully restored home in Castletown, on the iconic North Coast 500 route. Just a stone’s throw from Dunnet Bay, it’s the perfect stop to experience the spirit of Caithness.
By Car
From Thurso:
Around 10 minutes along the A836 towards John O’Groats. You’ll find us on the right-hand side as you leave the village of Castletown, overlooking the sweeping sands of Dunnet Bay.
From Wick:
Take the A99 to Reiss, then continue on the B876 to Castletown. Join the A836 towards Dunnet — we’re on the right-hand side as you leave the village, beside the bay.
We have a large on-site car park with two accessible bays available.
