RESTORING THE PAST
REBUILDING FOR THE FUTURE

Castletown Mill Distillery

WELCOME TO STANNERGILL WHISKY

THE SPIRIT OF CASTLETOWN MILL

We (Martin, Claire and our team) are Dunnet Bay Distillers, the creators of the multi-award winning Rock Rose Gin, Holy Grass Vodka and Mapmaker's Rum.

This is the next stage in our journey.

We have long driven past the beautiful, but dilapidated, mill building with thoughts of one day being able revitalise it. The dream became reality in 2020 when we took ownership of this iconic vernacular building. As the current custodians, we are eager to conserve and revitalise it as a destination whisky distillery, telling the story of the building and making it a proud Caithness landmark once again.
